Gefährliche Pestizide von Bayer und BASF

Unsere Studie zeigt: Bayer und BASF - zwei der drei größten Pestizidhersteller weltweit - verkaufen im Globalen Süden Pestizide mit Wirkstoffen, die in der EU gar nicht auf den Markt dürften. Darunter sind auch Stoffe, die so gefährlich für Mensch und Umwelt sind, dass sie in Europa explizit verboten wurden.

Exemplarisch beleuchtet unsere Studie die Situation in Südafrika und Brasilien und zeigt, wie die Doppelstandards der deutschen Konzerne die Gesundheit von Landarbeiter*innen in Südafrika und von indigenen Gruppen in Brasilien gefährdet.

Aus den Ergebnissen der Studie folgern die Autor*innen der Studien: Der Export aus Deutschland von in der EU nicht genehmigten Wirkstoffen muss verboten werden! Mit dieser Appell wenden sie sich an die deutsche Bundesregierung, und fordern diese auf zu handeln.

Die Studie wurde in Zusammenarbeit mit der brasilianischen Campanha Permanente Contra os Agrotóxicos e Pela Veda (Permanente Kampagne gegen Agrargifte und für das Leben), der südafrikanischen Organisation Khanyisa, MISEREOR und der Rosa-Luxemburg-Stiftung erstellt.

These include substances that are so dangerous to humans and the environment that they have been explicitly banned in Europe. The authors conclude from the results of the study: The export from Germany of active substances not approved in the EU must be banned! With this appeal, they turn to the German government and ask it to act.
